about

This release was a double single (with two bonus tracks) released a couple of months before the debut album Blank Tape. The lead single and title song from that album was featured on local radio 91.3 the Zone when SYOP were Band of The Month. The Dirge was the B-side of this single, a song which would later have a video made for it by local director Alan Miller. The first bonus track is an acoustic version of "I'm Told", it might be the best acoustic version of any rock song we ever recorded and it was captured one summer night in Bosma's living room surrounded by poets, wierdos, smokes and beers. The second bonus track is "Directions May Change", a track written by Tungsten Shoestepper and recorded at Seamus Knuckles' apartment on a cool fall evening by the four Poets and features Ching on lead guitar.
